Im about to wire my second battery in with a battery isolator, where can i wire the battery isolater power(turnon) terminal to, its supposed to be to the ignition i think. Couldnt i wire it to the alternator? So then current is flowing while i have the car turned on, but when the car isnt on and just the key is in i am just running off the second battery? Or is wiring it to the ignition basically doing the same thing? If so where is the wire from the alternator, or the wire from the ignition i need to wire it too. Im all confused. Thanks

Forget the isolator altogether. You will be replacing batteries faster and more often with it. Simply parallel the batteries, positive post to positive post, ground 'em both to the chassis. Connect amplifier distribution to the rear battery. Done.
Here's a thread... I don't want to type it again. Isolators are bad, mmkay? ------------- It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I would go with two yellow top,but I am sure people will disagree with me ,but that is what they are design for ,heavy audio use.

Dude... you JUST asked yourself which battery to use, like... last week. How can you POSSIBLY have any input here? I'm sorry, but, geez... ------------- It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
