If you were not having this trouble with the factory deck, it sounds as though you may have a bad digital box.  Does it only do it at high volumes?

I have the same problem but it really hasnt affected me until now because its getting worse. I have a kenwood D.D 6019 tv and all the speakers are wired to the tv and it only cuts in and out at high volumes.

pbguy, You need to check the voltage on the Yellow wire of your radio.  You need to check it when the volume is loud.  If the voltage is dropping below 11 volts you may need to run the constant wire to the battery via a 15 amp fuse AT the battery.

If the radio needs more current than the factory wire can provide, the voltage will drop.  If the voltage drops, the output of your radio may cut out.
