Why do they say its not good to give ground to sometihng directly from the battery? Why does the battery has 2 wires going from ground one goes to a bolt and the other one to the alternator i guess. thnx

When current flows through any device / wire with resistance, there will be a voltage drop from one end of the wire to the other. So you want the shortest length possible. The rule of thumb is to keep the ground under 18 inches.

Also in a lot of high end charging system upgrades for car audio. The ground goes directly from the alternator to the chassis then to the battery.
