best rcas i have worked with have been tsumani and jl audio... they are quite.. and don't fail often... monster are pretty good too... sometimes the tolerances on their cable are so tight the ends have to be pryed from the amp though...

there can be only one.......

Turn your system on and then unplug the RCAs at the amp and see if the humming goes away.

Do you have a Pioneer Radio?

I have never had any problem with the cheap radio shack ones' yea but I want twisted shiled bla bla bla ones. Ok Split the Radio shack ones use a drill and twist them together ziptie down the line wrap with tinfoil, cover with wire loom twisted and shilded. Really there is no need for it. If your able to find the higer dollar ones for CHEAP just be make sure you keep them away from the power wire and routing them under the driver side wire mess.

However once in a great while do you ever have to run the high dollar stuff. But that is do to routing the cable most of the time.

Wire is wire.  Use decent quality cables and you will be fine.  The brand does not matter.

This has always been a divided subject. I try to guage the quality of supplies to the customer's budget. The cheap stuff does work as good as anything else. The average customer's perception is something else.

On a $3K install I expect to see $20 RCA cables used and not $5 Radio Shack marked up. Nicely finished RCA's with shiny or twisted pair cable looks professional and adds a bit of bling.
It's like going to a higher end restaurant that uses plastic cups. A level of expectation.

On the other hand if a customer insists on highend interconnects, I am in business to make money. They have read the Monster propaganda and believe there will be a huge difference, Fine. I do believe Monster is truely BS.
