What would be a good crossover point for a 5.25 in infinity kappa perferct component system. I am running a JBL 300.4, i currently have kappa perferct 5.1 components for the fronts in Q-logic kick pannels. In the rear i have a pair of infinity kappa 6 by 9's and i have 2 kappa perferct vq 12's in a sealed box, (each chamber is 1.5 cubic feet) each running off a infinity 311a, thanks for the input.

You mean for a HP filter? What's your LP for your sub? ------------- Support the12volt.com

An ideal setup has the subwoofer LP and the mains HP set at the same frequency and slope. ------------- Support the12volt.com

Ok, i understand this is the ideal setup, but will thoes components be able to handle 90 hz without possibly damaging them? I usually listen at a fairly loud level, when i am listening at this level i am worried about damaging the woofers, specifically in the 5.25 components. Thanks

I'd say you can run down as low as 90Hz with no issues.
------------- It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Thanks or the information. i have made a donation to this site as i know how much it costs to operate something like this. This site is full of great information, hopefully it is around for a long time to come. Also what do you think of the jbl 300.4?
