I have 2 kicker L7's, one is 2 ohm dvc and the other is 4 ohm dvc and I have a mono class D amplifier (SPL DK-2600D). I wired the 4ohm sub at 8 ohms and the 2 ohm sub at 4 ohms and i'm running them parrallel to this amp. It sounds good and all but now I'm wondering If it's gonna be okay like that. I know one sub is hitting harder than the other so anyone one have any suggestions. Can i wire just one voice coil on one and wire the coils on the other one so that they have the same impendance? I really need advice.

That question is going to open a "Not so New" can of worms here.  You may have to read this and decide for yourself.  You will have to read every page and every post in the entire thread.  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~74640~PN~1

Yes you can use only one coil of a dual voice coil woofer.  Wiring the dual 2 as a 4 ohm speaker and then just using one coil of the dual 4, and then paralleling them at the amp will get them closer to equal than they are now.

Heh I remember that thread.

Flipping through it again is making my eyes hurt.

I think the short answer is yes - the long answer is yes but this isn't really ideal.

While I wouldn't really recommend it, it'll work in a pinch and you'll probably get acoustically acceptable results - and - as with any system, careful gain setting is crucial.

ok, i'm not gonna do the single coil thing so i left it how it was with one sub just hitting harder than the other. now, i have another idea. how about if i wire the 2 ohm sub in series so that it gives me 4 ohms and wire the 4 ohm sub in parrallel so that it gives me 2 ohms and run them together? i figure i'll probably get about 1.5 ohm load off of that but will i damage the subs for wiring them that way?

that's 1.3 ohms.  It should work fine, and you should get quite a bit more power.
