Like, if the subs are all 'hitting the mic' at the same time?

I would have to assume that if you had a sub in each corner of your vehicle then yes it would help.  But I am assuming that all of your subs are located in the same area.  So no I really don't think it will help you.

I only have 1 sub. I was just wondering.

You would think it would make a dramatic difference.

All what subs?    All one of them?

Ok, say some guy has 4 subs in the back of his Trailblazer. Say he has the ability to delay the timing of all of the speakers in the car. -This is what I mean.

midbass maybe...Not sure. Bass...highly doubt you gain anything from delaying the bass...the waveforms are still going to do what they do in the same manner...just at a later time lol

Cool... But if all the subs hit the mic at the same *exact* time, will it give a noticeable increase in SPL vs no time correction at all?

Due to the wavelengths you are dealing with, if you gain ANYTHING at all it will be on the order of tenths of a dB, if any... and THEN only in one position within the car. I can't see it making ANY difference at all, though.

When using only one woofer, adding TD to the woofer mak... actually adding TD to the woofers makes no sense at all ANYWAY. The woofers are traditionally the furthest driver from your ear anyway, you should be delaying all the other drivers in your system, not the woofer.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Thanks, Haemphyst  Of Fury. I know that the delay is added to the closest drivers (to the listeners' ears), I was just wondering if it would make a dramatic difference in a multi-sub installation.

i would highly doubt it. When going for measurment on a Mic you have up to 30 seconds to complete a tone or song depending on the class.   Normally even if the first sample is low, the term-lab has a sampling rate around 1 sec, and you score will increase almost instantly from that.
