On my Jensen VM9312, whenever I start my car, the radio starts with the volume almost halfway up. Whats up with this? How can I fix it? THNX

Look in your owner's manual and see if it has a default volume setting and if you can change it.

I believe that is a trait of some less expensive radio's. To fix this issue.... you can buy a better brand of radio

I think I am going to buy like an Alpine or something. This Jensen sucks and has since I got it. In the mornings when it's really cold or really humid, it will act like it's going to start, all the lights will come on, but no display, no sound, nothing. Then, after a while of being on, it will just start like it's nothing at all. Thing is such a PITA!

Why would I do that? when I bought the Jensen, I wanted video capabilities because my wife and I were driving to PA to see my brother, and that little screen kept our 2 year old quiet the whole time. Of course, we were watching baby einstien the whole time too, but still, better than a screaming baby (plus it was cheap, next time = Alpine)

Set the volume to whatever level you want it to be when it comes on.  Then press and hold the volume knob in for a few seconds.

Yeah, I think that if I had a million bucks, I could pull that off.

Also... normally when that happens, it could mean you have a poor connection with the battery or your alternator is bad. Do the preset channels save and does the clock go back to 12:00?
