For the same price would you take 2  12' Kicker L7's or two 12' MTX 9500's ?

and what amp should i power either of them with from the same brand?

What would the price be? Maybe we can offer some other (MUCH better) suggestions for less money.

What vehicle? What aspirations (SQ, SPL)?

What are you trying to achieve first??

Can your electrical system handle the load of 200 amps??

melton has a point.... those are two completely different set ups... the 9500's are actually designed for sq... where as the kicker is gonna be loud with less power..... most of it will be preference along with the music u like... i am a fan of both.... but overall if they were the same price i would take the mtx cause that would be a better deal anyway.... most places u can routinely find the kicker stuff u are looking at cheaper than the mtx.. so if u can get the mtx at the same ticket.. thats the route i would go... assuming it's cheaper rather than more expensive....

i can get the kickers in kicker box for about $300. the mtx's in box are like $330

i currently have a 12' kicker cvx briged across a 850.2 kicker amp. i like my all kicker set up now its loud and pretty clean. I'm just trying to get some different opinions on the 9500's because i've seen the subs and was very impressed but i've never heard them. And it seems like more people have the L7's

the 9500 series of MTX are not made for SQ...More for SPL

Hands down the MTX. The MTX are pretty acoustical considering it's power handling. If you don't power it properly, they will not sound good at all. 1200-1500 RMS is recommended and they sound good at that power input. If your getting two, I suggest the TE4001 amplifier that is rated at 3750 watts and this set up will be loud.

i agree... yes.. the 9500's can be pretty loud too... but they designed the sub predominately as an answer to jl's w7... both are sq subs but it just so happens that the can handle plenty power which also means they can get pretty loud too....

personally though.. i would do the kicker anyway... with your amp it will be a better match and after all.. they are cheaper....
