I have a Rockford punch 201s 600-watt amp I got it free from a friend because it is broken. The only thing wrong with it is the gain control broke off. There are six silver dots were it used to be if any one knows what ones I can solder together to have it stuck on full gain let me know. I am also planning to put an inline fuse next to it because it does not have one any suggestions on what size.

I don't know what type of gain circuit they are using in that amp. Just shorting the input and the output of the pot may cause oscillation and damage a speaker. The following picture is the way I can guarantee you will work. If you do not want to go to RadioShack to get the resistors, and you don't mind taking a chance with your speaker you could connect the middle leg of the first pot to the right leg of the same control. Duplicate for the other control. I would get the resistors if it were me.

the thing is more like this

1.2.
3.4.
5.6.

The dots are in this order so connect which ones? with the resistors.

Correct  2 resistors. And correct on the layout.   Resistor between 1 and 2   and wire between 2 and 3.

Resistor between 4 and 5 and wire between 5 and 6.

I posted the picture the first time with 123 and 456  I edited the pic and the post.  The resistor in the picture is on 1,2 and 3.  Just duplicate it on 4,5 and 6 also.
