A friend of mine has a 2006 Chrysler 300 with the factory radio and wants me to install an aftermarket pioneer D3 in-dash tv for him. My questions to you all is what kind of adapters will i need to make this tv fit and work in his dash?

If that car was available with navigation, you need to call the dealership and get a price on the dash bezel for the nav unit. They are unbelievably reasonable.  The truck panel is 70 dollars.  Then a double din kit is available to fit that dash piece.  As far as the harness, I am sure somebody else can help you with that.

I have installed this head unit in other vehicles and have had problems with the tv sliding open to insert or eject a cd/dvd from the unit, can i expect the same problem from this 300?

nope.. u should be good.... just remember if u don't wanna modify his current bezel u can get the navigation bezel from the dealer and just use the metra d-din dash kit for a factory finish.... anyway.. the wiring is the fun part.... finding interface modules to control the factory amps and steering wheel controls are an adventure... tell your buddy to go back to the store and buy and amp and 4.... while he is there he might as well get some bass too...
