how worth is it to put a brand new $1500 system in a gas-guzzling car that you possible wont drive in 6-months to a year? i just read an article (not sure how true it is, cant trust the internet) that said projected gasoline prices could reach $10 a gallon! this is not my scenario (i drive a honda civic 27 mpg in town, woot!), im just wondering what all of your views on this are.

How worth is it YOU?

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

You can always install it and then remove it if you want afterwards.

At $10 a gallon I'm getting a horse, already has the same AC as my Jeep dose here in AZ. posted_image And dang near the same stereo system too!

Wife has the sytem and AC!

To the OP, if you're already questioning what your position will be when (not if, but when) prices get like that, then you should consider keeping the weight of your system install as low as possible.

To the others, i'm am really considering getting a moped. Really. I may have a 40mile drive to work but, screw it.

Wife got the AC, I get the system... I, too, was cursed as an Arizona resident! Cottonwood, to be exact! Hated it!

I can ride my bike, at least. I've actually started to, and I'm 1: feeling better, and 2: saving about 120 bucks a month on gas!

How does riding your bike make you feel better -unless you mean bicycle, then I understand. El Oh El

$120 a month, eh? WIth all that weight in your trunk, I can imagine!

Where the A/C line bolts to my condenser, one of the studs is busted off (leak) so I have no A/C either. I'm considering putting a bypass pulley on it for a little more power = fuel effeciency. Every little bit helps!
