Took out all my JUNK IE Sony Explode, Boss
Have 2 sets of Kicker KS502 5.25 components 65 watts rms 125 max
A Kicker ZX700.5 Amp 70 x 4 @ 4 ohms & 420 X 1 @ 2 ohms all rms
And a Valor ITS 710W Head unit
A Kicker Comp CVR 10 DVC 4 ohm in a sealed .8 cuft box 400 watts rms 800 max
Now I am not a bass head and listen mostly to Rock & Country.
Everything is going in a 1999 Ford F-150 Ext. cab. What would be the best placement for the tweeters and what should I crossover everything at to give my system a loud but very clean sound with all the hertz covered.
Also installing new 4 gauge wire with a 120 amp fuse and what size speaker wire should I run to sub/components

OK... That's fine, but as far as I am concerned, the Kicker ISN'T much of an upgrade... (Especially the "Valor" head unit...)
ALWAYS, install the tweeters as close to the mid as is practical.
I think that's about as much as I dare say, in my (a little bit more than) inebriated state...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
Cross the sub LPF at 100 Hz. Cross the components HPF at 100 Hz. Leave the head unit settings at flat; use the crossovers on the amplifiers.
Use some temporary putty to "stick" the tweeters in place while you find best angle and mounting location. Use whatever you have on hand that will do the job (don't rule out plumber's putty). Mount tweeters within a few inches of the mids and adjust angle for best sound.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
Not too sure about 100 LPF I nomally crossover at 70 or lower but can't hurt to try it
Also would the 5.25 sound better in a sealed encloser in the doors or just plate them to the 6x8 opening.
If better sealed who makes one?

i would just plate them to the 6x8 opening. stick to IB for components.
Got it all installed and sounds real good thanks to all the help from here. Had a cap but after reading here I found that it did not change when it was in or out. It is just for looks and has no use. All the settings that I have read here has really paid off. At full volume I have no clipping or distortion thanks to here at 12 Volt. you guys rock!!!
