Hey i own a 2007 trailblazer w/o bose or onstar and i just put in 4 Polk speakers (db651s / db6750) and a 475 infinity amp. i ran 14g copper wire. i am using a High/Low Converter that connected to my factory radio. i built my own rca cables from the same speaker wire with gold plugs. i seem to have a clicking noise in my speakers. i am a student on a budget. would a noise filler work? and suggestions would be great!

You say you used speaker wire to build an RCA cable?
RCA cables should be a shielded cable.

Buy some phone wire (twisted style) and make your RCA's from that, see if it helps..
It's cheap..

hmmmmmmm old school trick i heard of copper tape. use this to wrap around your rcas? dont know if it works but ive heard it from old school guys.one thing im using now is a montser xln noise killer mod ill get the act name and send it to you kills any unwanted hummmms etc. they are pricey at 29$ each. i only have them due to one of my liq vendors sold me a raw case for 50$. i may have a few some where......lol if i do ill pm you. i think i should org my stuff this week. went to get a gm side post. and the rcas started to move........hmmmmm.

Take 2 12 inch pieces of small wire, strip about 6 inches of insulation off one end of each piece of wire. Wrap the stripped end of the wire around one end of the tin foil, Strip the other end of that same wire and ground it to the vehicle. Do the same with the other end of the wire on the other end of the patch cord.

With no budget, the first thing I'd do if I were you is split those speaker wires down the middle, separating the plus and neg wires. Twist them around each other at about 1 to 1.5 twists per inch. Twisting is a form of "shielding" by effectively helping to negate induced noise.
