well i iz here the super noob of car audio. ? of the day is can a marine 24v batt act be better than a 12v batt in a car. you can find them with a decent and high cca rating. i only ask this due to that and we have a cheapo customer who dsnt want to spend some bling on a decent new 12v batt. lol well the customer is always right? lol

You CAN install it...then soon after you'd fry every piece of electronics in the vehicle.

Literally, the INSTANT you turn the key. If the car could USE 24 volts, wouldn't the manufacturer have put one in?
Twice the voltage will push twice the current through every device in the car. Twice the voltage times twice the current equals 4 times the power that ANY OF THE DEVICES were ever designed to dissipate. How long does a 100 watt woofer last with 400 watts being driven through it?
This time, the customer is NOT right. Install it, if he insists, but get him to sign a release before you do it, and make sure HE IS THE ONE TO TURN THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION!

All of the above is true, I do not disagree with your statements. However, could you use the 24v if and I stress IF you use a some time of voltage regulator? Also it is my opinion that if you were to do this, and hypotheticly it worked, you would need a 24v Alt... correct? I see the logic behind the bigger battery, but we all know that a battery ONLY stores energy, not creates it.... I must say, I'm intreagued

voltage regulator, yeah we already have one. ive got my dad into this and hes a grease monkey of 34 yrs he says the same wth is this guy on? for some odd reason he thinks the 24v batt will be ok with a 12v stock alt lol. anyway we had to ask him to go to another shop due to the fact i wouldnt be right to install this in the way he wants. we did try to get him to do 2 batts and upgrade his alt. but still he knew every thing. if he did why was he here paying to have some one else put it in? bottom line even the most rude and ignorant customers we still have to smile and say have a nice day. he didnt even want the voltage regulator installed? we sent him to another shop we sometimes sublet out to due to they have great fiberglass guys. im happy to say they turned him down to. sooner or later some one will put this stuff in and laugh to the bank. ill sleep ok today though.
