On my new headunit (JVC avx-800), it has a single rca plug for center out.
A. Do I need to split that with a "Y" adapter? (assuming not but if not, which terminal do I plug it into on the amp, red or white?)
B. How do I choose an amp, speaker and crossover combo?
I've noticed some (speakers) are powered, but unfortunately, they are all single din,..I need a dash mount and none of those are powered.
Any actual product suggestions? The speaker is the easy part, what about the cross and amp?
Thanks in advance

Are you sure you're looking at the right connector? It's the bottom connector. There are two RCA pairs (front/rear). There is one sub out. One center channel out. Don't confuse this with the 2nd audio out in the top connector. ------------- Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

Thanks for the reply Big dog.
yes, I'm sure, they are well marked also. It has a single sub out and a single center out (along with a fr and rear out). I added a "Y" adapter to the sub out as it is monaural anyway but I assumed center would need to be stereo.

That's because center channel information (like subwoofer information) is mono. If you plan to use a stereo amp, use a Y-adapter. ------------- Support the12volt.com
