I'm working with a 1998 Buick Regal, with the "Concert Sound II" system. I installed Aftermarket 4 ohm Spks,  and am getting a bad crackle from all four speakers now. Looked all over the car for a factory amp anywhere... Directechs has no radio wiring info on this car. Does anyone have any info for me?

There is no amp on that car. The speaker wires are standard GM colors. If you are using the factory radio and still have the front tweeters hooked up you could be overloading the radio's outputs. You may also need to check that none of the speaker wires or speaker terminals are touching the vehicle chassis.

Scratch that. Thanks for your help sparky. I realized right after the post that the rear speaker wire was grounding out. posted_image
