WI m thinking of getting a Kicker CVX sub, can any of you vets tell me what a good size sub will be for a 99 monte carlo. I only want 1 sub and i listen to mostly bass rap music. Thanks

Well, I'm a big fan of 10's.. they're tighter, but if you want harder bass, I'd go with 12's, although I think they sound a bit "sloppier" than 10's.... My opinion of course

That's actually a myth.  Woofer size has nothing to do with "tightness."  "Sloppy" bass is usually an indication of improper enclosure size or construction.  The only real difference between 10" and 12" woofers is larger diaphragms tend to be capable of higher SPL at lower frequencies.

I know people who say that 10's are tighter than 12's just because they heard it from some idiot "so called installer".
