Well I just got a kinetik 2400 for my rear. How close do I need to put the fuse? I think I got about 17 inches of wire after the fuse going to the battery. Also my amp is directly next to my battery. Do I have to fuse the wiring coming off the battery into the amp if its a short distance? ill get a pic up

Put the fuses as close as humanly possible to the batteries this includes a fuse for the amp.

within 18 inches of the battery is all that is recommended.

BIG DOG   how do you fuse the amp at the battery?  the fuse near the battery is for the wire. thats all the fuse on the amp is for the amp.  you can put in a fused distro block to "fuse" the amp a little more.  but still dont see how you fuse the amp on the wire......

to chillin420 .....like daboss sez....battery.....distro block.....fuse

18 inches is the norm but it all depends on where the cables sit or pass. If it's all wood and absolutely no metal then you can be a little more flexible and reasonable. Use good judgement.
