Ok so I have an 03 escalade ESV that I am doing a stereo install in. The 2 main goals are to A) not loose space in the back as I have a big kennel and need the space and B) get decent low end response at moderate volume levels. I am considering using a pair of W7 8" drivers and doing a box in each side panel in the rear with my mono block mounted in one side and my 4 channel in the other side. Now set aside the possible cancelation problems by having woofers firing at each other across the vehicle, what kinda response can I really expect outta these drivers. I can put basically as much power as nessasary to them, but the boxes will be sealed and I dont believe I can go any bigger than 8's in my current plan. This is a big vehicle so basically Im wondering if this is gonna preform well and if someone else has any better idea's. Thanks alot. Oh and BTW its been a while so to anyone who knows me but hasnt seen me in a while .................................. Hi

Welcome back!

I heard the 8W7 a while back and it plays every bit as good as a upper end 10" woofer, you wont be disapointed, 2 of them will be more than enough to over power a SQ setup in the Escalade.

Im assuming you will be doing a fiberglass enclosure? If thats the case, I would at least aim each woofer to the back corner of the opposite side.

Actually I plan on cutting out the rear panels and making vinyl rapped mdf front panels and just glassing the inside, I want them to sit flush and look as stock as possible
