I'm looking at possibly running 3 12" Shiva-X subs, pushed by a Planet Audio RXD 2400.  Never ran these types of subs before, but when talking to my brother in law...he seems to be in love with them.  Has anyone on here had any experience with them?

DO IT! No questions asked, a fantastic driver. You'll love em! POWER EM RIGHT, and you'll be amazed with their capbilities...

Thanks guys, we'll see if I can get it done.  The guy I had lined up to buy my set up just backed out, so hopefully I will find another buyer in time for my comp on June 6th

You can purchase them at www.diycable.com and www.acoustic-visions.com

I just brought home today my Tempest-X in a 5.7 cubic foot sealed enclosure for my home theater.  It is an absolutely amazing sub.

Steven... SERIOUSLY considering that same woofer (prolly two, really...) IB for my living room... Planned to build a "box" with no bottom, and attach it to the hole in the floor that I'll be "adding"! (Perimeter foundations are nice for that... Ventilation outlets all around the house. posted_image Plenty of breathing room for two 15's!) Input from anybody experienced with that woofer in IB? Got an amp rated 220WPC @ 8 ohms, RMS, I think that'll "rattle the rafters".

The Tempest-X will work fine IB, although ask Kevin at DIY Audio about his DLP15 which is designed as an IB/OB specific driver with a Qts around 0.7.  If you need a great amp he's got at least one Face Audio B-stocker... tell him I sent you.

The Robot Underground recones Brahmas and some other woofers. I don't remember how much it is.. something like $85 if I remember correctly plus shipping. I was going to have them recone my Brahma cause it's been sitting in my closet for a few years but I haven't gotten around to it.

Just keep in mind that the coils Robot Underground uses have a different coil height than the original Brahma.  This will pretty much negate the XBL^2 motor.  The new driver will have a slight underhung topology which means it will not have the same performance as the original Brahma, but at least it will be a woking driver.
