ugh. This is the first radio in a while thats put up a fight. Well after a little while of searching I stumbled across this thread: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=27049&KW=chrysler+

Woohoo I hooked a wire up and got the amp to turn on but the speakers will flick in and out depending on the volume level. Can anyone help me out?

what are you using for a ground? I know some of those have the spade connector AND the ring terminal with the braided wire on the factory radio. You might want to try grounding the radio to the chassis.

yeah , I would do what Mobile 1 suggested, sounds to me like a ground issue, ground to chasis..............I've got in the habit of not using the ground on the harness, just grounding to the Chassis everytime to avoid this.    good luck

Thanks guys. Ill post what worked for me so others can use it as a resource. I did ground the radio to the chassis and that didnt seem to fix the problem. I then wired a relay to turn on the remote wire and it worked fine. Weird, it was the first time I had to do that but it worked.

Thanks guyd

Its not a ground issue. I had the same issue when I did my first one. I hooked up another relay to boost the amps and it worked fine. Try that.
