I'm posting this up because it is a problem of a friends. He bought a truck with an after market Alpine head unit installed in it and whenever he turns off the car, the radio will lose its presets and clock time. However, it will keep the first two radio presets but the others will be erased. Besides that the radio works fine.

Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this?

The yellow wire of the radio needs to be connected to a constant 12 volt wire.  I find it hard to believe that the first 2 stations are staying set.  What frequency are the first two staions set to?
