hey guys.. im gonna start out by saying that i am not a professional stereo installer but as well im am def not a noobie to stereo installs..

I am having an issue with my new amp! Its a Pioneer monoblock PRS-D1100M.. Trying to hook it up to my kicker L5 12"..

Now i hook everything up as for specs in the manual (although always pretty much the same).. And i turn on my deck.. nothing from my sub (and my speakers are working which are also amped by a seperate MTX amp).. I go to my trunk and check it out.. the lights are on and its getting power and everything and i try reversing my input wires on the amp and my sub pulses a bit but does not to the music or anything (and after completly inserted Theres no more action from the sub).. I have tested my sub with another amp as well and it worked fine!!

Does anyone have any ideas?

And i have everything hooked up (the bass control, ect) and i also have everything setup the way it says in the manual!!!

what ohm are you running the sub at you might have to high of a load on the amp therefor it is not letting any power to the sub.  if it is a dual 4 ohm run it at 2 ohm or dual 2 ohm fun at 4 ohm.

you can do it....

its dual 4ohm wired in parallel for a 2ohm load.. but theres no selection for impedance.. And in the manual it says wire it like this (the way i have it) for loads from 1-16ohm!!
