i was wondering if an l7 15" would sound good or even ok if i only put a infinity 611 referance amp pushin 657 @ 2 ohms? im having a shop build the box but i was thinkin if i should go with like a l5 12 or somthing to match it up better. what do you guys think?

Yeah that would be fine...The sound would be all up to the enclosure so just make sure its efficient and well designed.

well the guy at the shop is crazy good at making boxes. hes been doin it for almost 15 years and he is really good. would i be able to pull somewhere in the low 140s with it? givin the power and a good box?
