thqats what ive been hearing, ive also heard if you go with a sealed box your limiting it. aznboi is their a way you can change the plans for your box for 2 12" to just one? or would i just cut one of those off or is it more complicated than that? winISD is really messing with me now, some features dont work, probably because im using vista X64-bit... any help would be appreciated, and thanks for the posts guys! if you need measurements for my trunk i can get them to you if you need as well...

I recommend 2 cubes tuned to 32Hz for the best combination of SPL and SQ.

A slot port will probably be the most convenient if you have the room. If you use a round port you just want to make sure it is large enough so you don't have port noise.

My other design is specifically for that application and dimensions.

Post up your dimension you have to work with and what you want from the sub stage

ok heres the specs of the trunk,
L=24"
W=32.3"

any longer than that and its hard to shut the trunk without it rubbing up against the top. i would like to keep most of my trunk space, if at all possible, also to your quesion of what i wnat, i mostly listen to Hard rock/alternative, with the occasionally rap song with heavy bass in it.

thanks for the help!

I just made a box for my friend and it came out to be about 2.1 cubic feet ported to 28Hz. Gets down pretty deep and tackles the low notes pretty well and sounds good.

Here you go. The enclosure is 2.25 cu ft tuned to 40Hz.

The sub will still play down to 30hz...You should like it.

Set the subsonic filter at 30Hz

NICE! i really appreciate this man, I have one other question not in regard to box specs but i was wondering, we were going to put a small strip of plexiglas in the center and a red LED strip...would or doing any of this mess with the sound of the box, and if you were to do this how would you get it to activate off sound? and also what should i tap into to power it up? thanks again man this is awesome!

yes but like i said not the whole top but only a small strip so it shouldnt rattle near as much,

well you'll have to add a mount for the plexi...the plexi should not be thin flimsy cheap crap

yea i got the mount and everything and bought .55 in. thick plexi from lowes. i figured that should be thick enough. also how would yo uwire a neon and ground it out? i think it has a built in relay for sound activated etc. and its 12v. how would I wire it up properly.
