ok i have a box that holds 4 cvr 12s right now and the dimensions are 59x19x19. i had a new box built for it today and i will putit in tommorow. i was wanting to give my friend this box but he only has 2 cvrs. my QUESTION is that can i just cut the non-ported half of the box off and re-seal that end? it will end up being about 3 cubic feet after the cut. with a port that is hard to explain and maybe you guys can help with the diameter. it is 3.5 inches from the port wall to the bottom of the box. then comin up and out of the box it is 6 inches. port is about 18 inches long. i can t figure out how to calcualate that one. anyways will 3 cubes be enough for 2 4ohm cvrs to sound good in? i really need some help on this one. im stumped. thanks !!

its a little small for my likings i would try to make it about 2.4 cu ft per chamber if you can make it that big that is with the port. get rid of that round port and throw in a slot port so there wont be as much port noise. make the port for each chamber 30 sq inches and make it 20 inches long. ive made so many of these boxes for the cvr's and ive had no trouble what so all, good sound too. i think 3 cu ft with out the ports would be too small. if you made it sealed you can make it sound good with about 1.5 cu ft each chamber ------------- 1999 ford ranger

well that box is trash now but it did have a square port. the new box is being built by a shop in my town. he said he has a 1400 dollar box building program so when i get it and hear it i will update yall. also ill put it on the rides and systems gallery.

lol yea i dont know why i said that. but i got my new box today and it absolutly SLAMMMSS. its crazy loud at 38 HTZ. ill have pics on the RIDES forum in a couple of days. it will be under slammin exploder
