First....has anybody used the new XM adapters, and what do you think!

I personally do not care for this setup....it's gay that you have to program it, then some models aren't even compatible!

Second....I'm trying to get an XM adapter for the Kenwood KDCX692. I had a customer come with the new XM Direct 2 setup with the kenwood adapter and it's not compatible with his deck....does anybody know if the Older XM tuners and the Kenwood adapter will work or is he out of luck!?

Did he have the Kenwood SR50 adapter that goes between the two radios?

it didn't need the sr50 adapter as this model doesn't have a screen! only the models with the screens need the ca-sr50 adapter.

The problem is that it isn't compatible, and was wondering if the 2007 model XM tuners and adapters will work, or if he's gonna have to go with a plug and play unit and hook it to the aux in!?!

Sr50 works without screen, but its for Surius.

Check for software update for 692.

wHAT IS NEEDED IS THE OLDER (XMD-KEN100) until Audiovox gets all their model specific programming done.
