Hey, I was just wonderin' if anyone has tried any of these out yet and could give me a thumbs up or down..:

Alpine 4”” x 6” Car Speakers (SPS406)
JBL 12” Dual Subwoofer Box (GTO1204BP-D)
Pioneer MP3 CD Car Deck (DEH-P4000UB)
Sony 4-Way 6" x 9" Speakers (XSV6942A)
Sony Xplod 800W 2-Channel Amplifier (XMZR1252)

would this be a decent system?
right now i have pretty much no money, but I just got a job, and when I have enough I'm headin' to Best Buy..
by the way, I know it's ridiculous that I'm puttin' money into a '93 Lumina, but I have to work with what I got haha, and I love loud music with a lot of bass.. posted_image

I have the alpines and they are nice and clear not distortion but that's cuz I have them on a crossover . I never delt wit the other stuff but I heard bad stuff bout sony amps. I say go with all alpine speakers and maybe a poineer amp if you are tight on money and get an alpine type s they aren't that earth shattering bass but it gets the job done. I have all alpine in my cadillac excpet for my radio and amps but I'm happy

I don't really care for Pioneer Head units because of the poor ground planes. Do a search on Pioneer and noise problems and this forums and you will see what i'm talking about. Don't really like Sony products either. Look into maybe some cheaper Alpine gear maybe an Eclipse head unit. Pioneer coaxail speakers aren't bad either.
