JVC KD-AVX11 Headunit

First install.  Installed unit with proper harness and trim kit.  Spliced wires and matched colors by twisting the wire together and taping them.  I know soldering is preferred or even butt capps but I didn't have any.  My job is fine as the sound comes through perfectly and fading from each side and front to back works perfectly.  The problem is when I start the car after 3 seconds the car shuts off and displays "No Bus" on the dash screen.  The odometer reading is also 0.

There are 2 ground cables from the aftermarket harness and only one from the deck, i tried twisting all 3 and just 2.  I also have 3 yellow 12 volt power cables.  Tried again 3 and 2.  No difference.

The other possible problem is the parking break lead because this is a DVD deck.  I was told I could just wrap it around a screw on the deck to ground it and it would work just fine.

Again the deck works for both movies and sound with the car off.  Turn it on and it shuts the car off displaying "no bus".  Yank the deck out and all is good.

Please, Please, Please someone help me!

Disconnect all of your connections and start over connecting one wire at a time.  Start the car after each connection so you can tell which wire is killing the bus.
