Put the switch in line with your remote turn on wire!

make sure you insulate all the contacts on the switch - if it shorts out you will break something!

How many terminals are there on the switch?      If only 2, simply connect one terminal to the Remote amp turn on lead of your radio. Connect the other terminal of the switch to the remote wire that runs to the remote terminal of your amp.

most switches I use to trigger a relay and that way the switch wont heat up and have a problem.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

He is installing a switch in the remote wire. He was asking for help with the switch. Are we ready for relay 101?
