Ok guys,

The car does not have the factory premium sound system. I do not see a tweeter location on the door. ON the dash in the corners, where the apillar meets the dash there are what can be best described as some kind of mesh grill that looks like it should be covering a speaker of some kind

does anyone know how to get it off?

Dash speakers, huh? The only ones I've ever dealt with had phillips head screws right there in the mesh, which then lifted out and the speaker could be taken out after that. This was in an 01 S-10 reg cab.
