Hey everyone, we just picked up a 2007 magnum and I want to put an amp in it next week and i had a couple of questions before i finish planning it. the battery is in the trunk.

1-Since the battey is going to be fairly close to the amp locations im going to get a couple of termnals and wire both the power and ground wires directly to the battery. of corse i will fuse the wire. instead of drilling a hole for a ground would this be a beter idea? also wouldnt it be as good of a ground you can get? It seems like it would be beter....

2-is there a spot in the back somewhere to run a remote wire off of? or should i just run one directly off of the radio?

3-how do you get to the back of the radio? is it simular to a ford 500? do you just have to snap a couple of panals somewhere?

1. Battery power and ground you grab at the terminals on the back.

2. Can't remember, but isn't the fuse panel in the back as well on the Magnum's ? On the 08 Charger's they are on the back and you can tap into a switched ignition source back there if that's the case.

3.Unclip and remove entire panel surrounding radio and climate controls, including a/c vents.Remove (4) 7MM screws securing radio to dash to remove

thnx Velocity , i got the radio off, that was easy...ill try and look at it this weekend, i hope the fuse box is in the back. is there any particular color wire i should use? red? orange? I can try and find out ona  metro kit  it would make this as easy as it can get it seems. my only other question is if i should do the rca's on the back speakers? or should i do it behind the radio? i wouldnt have to run any wires if i do it from the back. if i do it from the back do the panals snap off? or how do i get to the back speakers?

Just meeter one of the fuses and use a fuse adapter to tie in a wire to the fuse that uses a switch ignition. You can tap into the rear speakers for the high level input signal for the amplifier unless you want the input signal from the fronts.

you should be able to get a remote turn on signal from the rear harness/fuse panel with a pink/white wire if i'm not mistaken. to check, meter the wire. it will have 12VDC when you turn the key to the run position. if there's not one in the back, i know there's a pink/white wire at the ignition harness.

Switched accessory can be had at the lighter. There is no turnon at the deck, as it uses CANBus for both turn on and audio control of the amp.

There is a pretty slick PAC piece that gives you 4ch of RCA audio, and a turn on. Plugs right inline of the deck harness. C2A something or other (don't have one in front of me at the moment for the exact part number).

Get power and ground at the battery in the trunk.... super convenient in a BMW/Mercedes sort of way.
