I finally got my TL finished and put in my car. I will post the pics soon of it.

I have only listened to it for about 30 minutes or so but my first impression was, wow! It was really clean and really deep. I knew that it was going to sound like this from the beginning but it was still a different sound then what I was expecting. It is probably some of the cleanest bass I have heard in a car.

Right now I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to keep this enclosure or make a low tuned ported enclosure. I really like what I heard but I want to make sure I am positive or if I think I can do better with a ported enclosure.

The only thing that I don't like right now is the output from the enclosure. I knew it was not going to be a lot of output but I would still like a little more. I could easily get what I want if I turned the gain up a little (it is really low right now) but I don't want to blow the sub. I'm worried it is going to unload if I turn up the gain too much.

It is a really nice sound and I would definetly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a SQ setup.

This is my TL right now. If I decide to keep this enclosure I'm going to finish the enclosure so it looks better.

Nice job.  Now finish that puppy and even if you decide not to keep it, you can probably sell it pretty easily.

But, the title of this thread states the enclosure is finished... I'm confuzzled...

J/K, looks good. I agree to finish it. I know someone here or on ROE will buy it if you don't want it...

What are the specs on it, BTW?

Stuffed TQWP's aren't output monsters by nature.

Sweeeet...

Dude. I love TLs and you did a good job on that. I think you'll be happier with this if SQ is what you are desiring. Output? Go with the vented enclosure.

That is absolutely the fact. They simply don't get loud. However, you CAN use more of the amplifier if desired. They don't unload due to output, they unload (just as does a vented enclosure) due to playing frequencies below tuning. If you aren't trying to play below tuning, (i.e. you've got an IMPLEMENTED subsonic filter) crank it... posted_image

Good job.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Okay I'll set the gain a little higher becuase I have it really low. It's not that I'm looking for a lot of output but I want a little bit more, lol. Hopefully that will take care of my problem.

So I guess I have to finish it now, lol. Even my friends keep nagging me to make sure to finish it and not leave it bare MDF. I do have plans for it though so I'll definetly post some pics when it is truly finished.

The specs on my TL are:

About 85" length, stuffed dense near the sub and gradually less dense at the end. It starts at about 150% Sd and goes to around 50% or so. I used Acousta-stuff to stuff the line.
