i have 4 cvr 12s in a 13.6 cube box right now and i only have a directed 1200d amp that pushes 400 RMS @ 2 ohm. well my subs are dual 4 ohm so they can be wired to 2 or 1/2 ohm. i am competing here in about a month and im in the 600 and under class. so i need an amp thats 600 rms at 1/'2 ohm. or thats why i asked about a 1/4 ohm so it will run more efficient. price range is around 250 if i can help it. thanks

yeah...i don't think you'll find anything that will be 1/2 or 1/4 ohm stable, and be around 250 bucks!

But i'll wish you good luck trying!

2 ohm stable should be enough!!

Your best bet is to run them at 2ohms.  Getting an amp that is 1/4 or 1/2ohm stable is going to be very very difficult in today's market.  If you do, then it's gonna be extremely expensive.  600watts RMS @ 2ohms vs. 600watts RMS @ 1/2ohm?  Go with the 2ohm model.  Cheaper and same watt class.

Don't count on customer support from MMATS. If the shop doesn't warranty your amp, the factory is a nightmare to deal with. If you can get an email back from them, it would be the first I've heard.

Do a search and find the 5+ reasons not to drop below 1 ohm.

You can try looking at STEG amps in the future as they are stable down to 1/4 ohm.  I do not expect them to be cheap though.  They are italian made and similar in quality to Audison stuff (maybe better).

Check out their website at https://www.steg-america.com/

They are built well but good luck finding info.  Your best bet might be t call ORCA Mobile as they are the north american distrutor for them
