So I have a total of 4 solobaric L7 12's. I have two in two seperate boxes. Each pair is powered by Hifonics 1600w mono amp. I plan on wiring them in paralell. My question is this. Currently I have 2.34cu ft. of volume in each box. I want really hard pounding bass, that you feel in your chest, and can be heard for blocks, ya know? So would it be better to leave the enclosure as a sealed type with the given volume I have, or a ported one. Now if I went ported the specs from kicker say that it asks for 1.75 cu ft per woofer plus the port, so would I have to ad some volume to each box, or would they be fine and just add a port. Now the port specs for that setup are 2.5x13.25" port, 22.5" long. The length of the port is whats got me. The longest part of my box is 32 from the bottom to the top, but that wouldnt work cause the port shou;ld be facing, and that way it will be facing the roof. Any input wouyld be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you want really hard pounding bass but looks like you are going with a show car install not meant for performance at all..more for looks.

Also those enclosures are too small for ported
