I have a 300 amp Iraggi alternator to install on my 93 civic si.  however I do not currently have my subwoofers and amps hooked up.  I was planning on waiting to install the amp for after all that equipment was installed since I am going to be relocating the batteries to the trunk.  However since I cannot get all that done for  a while id like to get the bracket made for the alternator and have it installed to the front battery for now...is it ok to use 4 guage wiring / stock wiring for that alternator for the moment since I wont be pulling much more than stock amperage?

I dont want to cut the 0 guage wiring incase I end up needing the full run to get to the rear mounted batteries later on.  But it would help me later on if the alternator was already installed and if I only needed to replace the ground and power wires on it to 0 guage.
