i have a jbl 4 channel that is about a year old and never had any problems but one day i noticed it started getting really hot really fast. i mean if i play at the loudest listening volume that i usually play it takes about 10 minutes and that thing is fire hot! even when its not that high it gets abnormally warm. only thought is my Distro block is a peice of crap and havnt gotten another one yet. maybe bad fuses causing power loss? im lost. please help. "i am an idiot" if you read this maybe this situation pertains to the other posts you helped me with. thanks guys!

If you put those 4 extra speakers on the amp, and all 4 channels are running at a 2 ohm per channel load, it will run hotter than it did before you added the speakers.

Check the voltage at the amp, and make sure your gain is set properly.
