Hi

I have a 4 ohm DVC can I connect each coil to a seperate channel on the amp rather than wiring in series or parallel? What will this do to the sub, if anything?

Cheers

Depending on the capabilities of your amplifier, Yes you can and probably should wire one voice coil to each channel of your amplifier.  Paralleling the coils will yield a 2 ohm mono load.  Chances are your amp is only capable of powering a 4 ohm mono load.

Yes, it's long, but it explains COMPLETELY why it's perfectly safe to do so...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
