Hi, i have a mini pc that uses direct 12v / 5A

I want to get some sort of regulator to stop any power spikes in the power from damaging it. I have looked at alot of powersupplies but none go upto 5A.

Anyone know a schematic to make one. thanks in advance

You can parallel 7912 positive voltage regulators... as many as you need! 1A with heatsinking is perfectly within the realm of safety for those devices.

A three-terminal device; ground, in, and out. REDICULOUSLY easy to implement. Seventy-nine cents each...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
