I'm putting in an amp and subs into either a 2003 or 2004 Chrysler Sebring. Problem I've ran into is that the battery is in the fender. There is a positive jumper post and was wondering if its ok to hook up power to that instead of the battery. Someone tried to tell me it isn't because its only for jumping, but then doesn't that wire go straight to the battery anyways.

Well I hooked it up to that post and have had no problems right now.
