I have a axxess line level converter that I've lost the wire diagram to. I know this will sound stupid but the wires that have the black tracer on them, is that the + or the -? I think it's the + but I want to make sure.

So concise, so, so... verbal! [:P]

RECOGNIZED, and industry-wide CALLED negative, but as long as you wire them ALL as positive or ALL as negative, it won't matter.

Because the output from your deck is "bridged", meaning there is no common (or negative) rail, but both leads' voltage swings across the chassis reference, there is no "negative" or "positive", as long as all connections are uniform across the installation.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

He had a very specific question and he got the no frills answer. Sometimes I like to type, and sometimes not so much.
