I'm looking for amp specs for a Precision Power (PPI) Sedona 500ix and a Sedona 460ix. I can't even find it when I Google. I know these are old amps but I can't believe I can't find any information on them! Is there and PDF manuals out there for these amps? Any help or knowledge would be useful! Thank You!:errr:

Here is a little info on a sedona 430. I am thinking that the 460 is a 4 channel 60 watts per channel @ 4 ohm stereo. You can simply double the specs on this 430. I do not remember the 500IX. I'm looking into getting 2 subs for the PPI Sedona 500ix, but am unsure which ones would be the best for the amp. I'm looking at DVC subs, Do I need to get 4ohm or 2ohm, or what? The subs I'm looking at are the Rockford Fosgate Punch P2D412 and the Kicker CVR12's. Which is better and what ohm subs do I need?

The 500ix is a beast. It's a 2 Chanel amp that's about 2 feet long! I think it's 250x2 or 700x1.

https://www.elitecaraudio.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=1075691 If you are using 2 woofers, and you want to get the most out of the amp you can safely get, you need to use Dual 4 ohm speakers. You need to parallel the coils on each woofer and connect one woofer to the left channel and one woofer to the right channel of the amp. This will yield a 2 ohm per channel load.

I think i once heard that the old PPI amps can't handle a 2 ohm load and that it was only stable at 4ohms.

They will handle a 2 ohm stereo load or a 4 ohm mono load. However they will not handle a 2 ohm mono load. Did you look at the link I posted. It gives you 4 ohm and 2 ohm stereo ratings.

So I should be OK with getting 2-Dual Voice Coil 4ohm subs and then wiring one sub to each channel, in a 2 ohm stereo load?

Yes...that wiring configuration will work if you want to bridge the amp. However, the way "i am" was explaining it was to instead wire each subs voice coils in parallel, yielding a 2 ohm load per sub, then hooking each sub in stereo to your amp.
