this was factory installed 6 disc changer on my 99 Chrysler Cirrus, I would like to get a couple more of the 6 disc magazine cartridges, my local dealer wants over $40 each, was wondering if another brand like Alpine or Pioneer, etc would work????

Almost all brands are different. But you could try searching eBay for used ones.

Also, see if you can get the part number from the dealer. In the back of car magazines, there are car dealers who claim to sell factory parts at a discount by mail order--never hurts to check with them.

Do a google search for "chrysler 6 disc magazine". I did this and came up with a whole bunch of possible sites--too many to list them all in this message so I thought it'd be easier for you to do the search. Seems like no matter where you go you're gonna have to pay a lot for it though...
