4 ohm subs wired wrong?

i hve 2 rockford fosgate dvc 4 ohm subs on a kenwood kac 929 amp and it says it can run 230 at 2 ohms i have he subs hooked up for 1 ohm load will this damage my subs or amp?

If the amp is not one ohm stable, and/or has poor protection circuitry... Yes. I believe that amp is NOT one ohm stable, your ONLY option is 4 ohms.

i turned the gane down and it seems to be working fine. are you telling me that i shouldn't have it hooked up like this? will it blow something?

i have the subs hooked up parallel/parallel at 1 ohm.

is it a 2 channel amp or a mono amp, most 2 channel amps can be run at 2 ohms in stereo, but only the higher end ones can be bridged at 2 ohms mono.

having the amp hooked up at 1 ohm will eventually fry the amp...not sure how long..that depends on the user

Which will kill your amp.  You need to rewire for 4-ohms.  Use the Subwoofer Wiring Options link on the left if you need guidance.
