I want to add a JVC Video head unit to my Mini Cooper S.  It has the stock Harmon Kardon system in it.  I have two questions.  First, is that a two or four ohm speaker system?  My experience with European systems leads me to believe its two ohm.  Second, Is it crossed over internally in the amplier?  Again, my experience says yes, but I would like to know for sure.  I'm just trying to figure out the best way, new speakers with wire runs, or bypas the amp.  Any help is greatly appreciated!!!  Thank you.

yeah i would buy new speakers if you dont know the correct ohm of your present speakers. to be on the safe side if you dont know  if the amplifer is in the radio or between the radio and speakers just run new wire and call it a day 14-16 guage should be an okay size

retain your factory amp and speakers.  Use Metra 70-9003 harness.  case closed.
