hey guys im new here, i got a question about my system i wanna know if its underpowered.. ok, i got 6 1/2" speakers all around(pioneer) there 75rms a piece, i got them powered with a 600 watt sony xplode amp. My Subs a 15" Kicker L5 and to power that i got a 760 watt pioneer amp(380 rms). I got the Dual 2 ohm model subwoofer so i cant run it with 2ohms on the amp i got to run it 4 ohms but it still get 380 watts rms, is that underpowered?

It could be below maximum, but are you happy with the sound?

It looks like peak is 1500 watts and RMS is 750watts. It would seem to me that you could double the power. You'll need a good sized amp and some other upgrades I fear. At 1500 watts, you're pulling 120 amps easy. It's 62 amps just for RMS. I think you could gain nearly 3dB. However, I'm not real confident with stereo stuff yet.

Depends on your enclouser, if it's ported it will be more eff. compared to sealed so it takes less power to be louder in a properly constructed and tuned ported enclouser.I would say couldn't hurt to put a little larger amp on it due to impedance rise you may rest @ 4ohms but it may rise to 6 or 8 ohms when reactive which could cut your power in 1/2. Hope this helps posted_image
