Hey guys, I have been checking prices from various retailers online and was curious on other peoples thoughts about ordering car audio equipment off the net. Some of these places have some real good deals so kinda makes a person think sometimes ya know. Would appreciate any feedback, Thanks.

i just recently shopped around for some prices car audio...i found www.sounddomain.com who states they will beat any advertised internet price.
so i tryed them on it.....well next day in my email...its says youve been approved for the price match. they matched the price plus beat it by 105% of the difference so now my new equipment costs me $120 shipped. otherwise id be paying more alot more.
definatley shopping around is the way to go.....and stay away from ebay.....manufactures do not warrant the equipment bought on ebay unless the seller is a retailer of the product which is few and far between......plus.....shipping charges are outrageous too.

One thing I've seen on warranties is alot of the higher end companies won't warranty the products sold on the net anyways, has to be from an authorized dealer, and some has to be installed by an authorized dealer. Now most sites i've come across offer their own 1 yr warranty regardless. But i've come across a few that has prices that are just insanely cheap compared to what you might pay for in a store or off of say Crutchfield or Sounddomain. For instance finding an amp for $600 on one site and then find it for say $350 on another. Kinda like, hey look at that price and then be like, ok whats the catch ya know. I'm just out to find the best price i can on some quality equipment to maybe keep a few extra dollars in my pocket.

I found a website that has pretty reasonable deals, killer service, and a huge selection of products. www.outerlimitsaudio.com. I talked to steve lockhart, the owner, for about 30 minutes before I made a selection on my component and midbass driver system. He offered to help me tune my system after I hooked it up for free over the phone. He also answered tons of other questions not even related to the sale. This man loves his job and I will definately be going back to him. He is very trustworthy.

Sounds like the guy that will be doing my system. Hes a local retailer though but he really knows what he is doing and just flooded my head with information. Kinda rare to find someone who will go out there way to make a customer happy not to just make money off of them but to make sure they dont get screwed by someone else. I will be paying more through this retailer but i will have the manufacturers 3 yr warranty plus all the help this guy offers to his customers if there is ever a problem with anything. I sat in his store for 3 hrs one day just watching him work on peoples systems for nothing just to make them happy and come back for more. Most places would be like yeah i will look at that, for so much money. Not him, hes out there tuning things and teaching people for nothing, even if they bought their stuff somewhere else. Now thats what i call a GOOD salesman.

I've used a website called www.thezeb.com a few times and I have had nothing but good experiences. Their customer service is very knowledgeable and is staffed with MECP certified techs. The prices are also very, very nice and they offer 6.95 currently on your whole order. (A nice thing nowadays where it costs you 8 dollars to have a book shipped on Amazon.com) That shipping includes everything on their site, even the stuff like Visonik loaded boxes that weigh 80 pounds! My 2 cents...CTW

Oh yeah, I forgot this part too. They have a policy where they'll match any other site's prices or they'll give it to you free. Here is the link to their policy so you can check out the fine print. https://www.thezeb.com/help/bestprice.html Good luck everyone...CTW
