The 12CVX states that it needs 750 watts rms, I also noticed that some sites use a range of 300-750 watts RMS.  Whats up with the range.  If this is the case, I have an MTX 801D amp that puts out 800 watts RMS and I was thinking to get 2-12CVX.  But again, thats if theses subs truly have a minimum RMS range.  If not, and the true RMS needed is 750 watts per sub, I dont think these subs will work with my amp.  Any advise on the range values?  thanks.

the continuous power rating is NOT how much power a sub NEEDS.

it simply is the power handling.
