I have a 2001 Silverado that has all factory Delco still in it except the front speakers in which I replaced this week with a new set of Pioneer 6.5in 4ohm speakers. My new front speakers sound a lot better that the factory speakers did........but since I replaced the front speakers, no sound is coming from the rear speakers and they were working fine.

Once I discovered the problem, the only thing I knew to do was check the wiring on the new speakers. I did discover that I had the pos and neg reversed on both speakers. I then corrected that but still no sound from the rear.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

First thing I would check is to see if the rear speakers have voltage. If no, I'd try disconnecting the new speakers and trying again. If you can't get a voltage, then you have most likely a head unit problem.

Thanks reax, I'll give that a try. I have disconnected the front speaker with no luck, but I didn't check the voltage in the rear.
